You left out alot of details so it's hard to actually give good advice with so limited info Would have been nice if you said what the error message was rather than you just got one , If (and it should work) everthing is good go back and install/enable uio, check the game again, and if all is good you can start installing mods , Now launch the game with the fose_launcher.exe Run the game from the reg launcher, when the game starts open the console ,(tilde) type getfoseversion hit enter, exit game. Re- install the fose dll's and the loader, if you monkey'd with the games normal launcher and executable delete them and re- install them using verify integrity , If you aleady installed and activated mods that need fose, deactivate them, disable uio if your using that , Īll that hokey renaming launchers is a waste too in my opinion, leave them be ,īest solution is to watch a video of how to install it, gopher has a good one i think , exe fose files you need to start the game one time from the regular launcher so fose can find and hook into it, you dont have to run fose as an admin, it works that way for some and not for others. Step 5) Right click the original "fose_loader.exe" and click Properties.ĥa) Now Click Compaitbility and click "Run as Adimistrator." This with give the fose admin status without interfering with Steam.Īfter you extract the. Step 4) Rename the Copy to "FalloutLauncher.exe"
You should have something along the lines of "fose_loader Copy.exe" Now Paste it back into Fallout Folder where is was installed. Step 3) Right Click "fose_loader.exe" and click Copy. Step 2) Rename "FalloutLauncher.exe" to "" (name doesn't matter, anything other than the original name will work.) If Fose is working properly, it will pop up "1" exe file and click "Run As Administrator")ġb)When you get to the Main Menu of Fallout 3, hit the Tilde key (The "~") to open the console and type "GetFOSEVersion".
